Erin McCutcheon, RMT
Born and raised in British Columbia, Erin has called Toronto her home for the past eight years. After completing her BFA at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design she moved to Toronto to complete her BDes with a major in Industrial Design from OCAD and now practices art in her sunny west end studio.
Three years ago she was introduced to the Crossfit community and quickly became a coach in her gym acquiring certifications for Crossfit Level 1, Crossfit Mobility, Agatsu Kettlebell Level 1, Agatsu Advanced Olympic and Power Lifting. With her growing love of movement and technique came the realization that without mobility, tissue and joint health, training progress could not be made and injuries quickly occur. After receiving massage for her own injuries with great success she was led into the field of massage therapy.
Erin graduated from Sutherland Chan in September 2011. She is in good standing with the Registered Massage Therapy Association of Ontario (RMTAO) and a professional member of the College of Massage Therapists (CMTO). Her interests are in sports massage, pain management and mobility. As the Mobility Coach at her gym Erin teaches clinics on mobility and self massage. What she teaches there is incorporated into her client’s self care for her massage treatments at Toronto Bodyworks. Erin’s short term continuing education interests include: N.I.S.A. (Neuromuscular Integrated Structural Alignment) and Shoulder and Hip Dysfunction Remediation.
